Case Study: A UK Government Department responsible for managing circa 3K assets across a globally dispersed customer base
Improving Asset and Data Management
The Challenge
The client managed a diverse portfolio of assets across a large and globally dispersed customer base that each have differing requirements and management systems. This complexity created an environment where there was no understanding of the overall number of assets across the customer base and lacked a formalised asset management process. The study was tasked with identifying initiatives to improve availability, efficiency and safety through more effective data management.

The Squarcle Solution
Identified and engaged stakeholders across the client business to understand the problem and identify the ‘As-Is’ processes and systems environment
Mapped the data and systems environment to identify data handshake points and process. Gathered a vast array of data from the client and their customer base. Conducted Root Cause Analysis of the processes and data to identify gaps and potential efficiencies
Developed ‘To-Be’ process maps and ‘Use Cases’ to align to industry Enterprise Asset Management models. Educated the customer on the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 55000 series on Asset Management and how best to comply with it.
The Results
Squarcle identified operational efficiency improvements to improve availability and visibility and designed an individually tailored roadmap to compliance with the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 55000 series on Asset Management.
