Leadership Team

Mark Gaunt

CEO


Mark is a Defence acquisition and ‘support’ expert with an emphasis on the sustainment of equipment, including engineering. Most recently a Director in Deloitte leading the design, development and implementation of the procurement organisation in the Saudi Arabian MoD. Mark is also an ex-Major General in the British Army. Until 2019 he was the Army Board member responsible for the Army’s end to end logistics and equipment procurement and sustainment, he was particularly responsible for re-establishing the Army’s sustainment stocks following operations in Afghanistan.

Robert Ladell

COO


Rob joined Squarcle in 2020 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2022. He has extensive experience of leading strategic, cross-functional operations and transformation programmes across the Defence and Government sectors. Most recently he led a large team of consultants, principal designers and supply chain executives to plan and deliver the logistic strategy for a high profile £1.6Bn construction programme in the heart of London.

Jack Matthews

Head of Consulting


Jack has over 25-years of experience in the Defence Sector, specialising in supply chain and logistics. He has held leadership roles in both public and private sectors that have included strategy and business development, programme management and operational delivery. Jack is passionate about the delivery of high-quality practical consultancy that drives value to the customer.

Angus Fay

Executive Director for Growth


Angus is a highly experienced Logistics and Supply Chain professional with over 40-years experience in UK Defence, NATO and the energy sector. In UK Defence, he was the Head of Profession for Logistics, the Defence Supply Chain E2E Process Owner and the Director of Global Logistics Operations. He was also the chief author and architect of the Defence Support Transformation Programme, leading to the delivery of a new Defence Support Operating Model, the creation of the Defence Support organisation, and the creation of a digital transformation programme across the Defence Support Enterprise. More recently, he has been the EMEA and APAC Government account lead for a Fortune 100 Energy corporation and provides Board advice to a number of related, leading private sector companies. Angus was awarded a CB in 2018 for his services to Defence Logistics operations.

Kevin Bennett

Head of Technology


Kevin is a seasoned technology leader, boasting more than 20 years of experience in the field. Kevin has supported large organisations delivering Enterprise-wide Digital Transformation Programmes and has managed complex IT portfolios. He also has a proven track record of overseeing IT Operations and was responsible for the sustainment of digital services, and a large team of support engineers, operating in over 57 countries worldwide. Kevin’s expertise also extends to providing technical leadership of software development initiatives.

Living Wage Foundation

Squarcle is accredited as a Living Wage Employer. Our Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Squarcle, directly and indirectly, receive a minimum hourly wage significantly higher than the government minimum for over 23s.

We are pleased to announce we are now a signatory of the Business in the Community Race at Work Charter.
